A lot of the calls we get start as a squeak or a soft spot, and the real problem is almost always in the subfloor underneath - not the surface flooring itself. Whether it's water damage from a slow leak, rotted plywood near an exterior wall, or joists that have settled over the years in an older West Michigan home, we open up the affected section, replace the damaged subfloor material, re-secure everything to the joists, and level it before any new flooring goes back down.
